We were blessed with lovely weather for this year's festival and walkers were out in force.

All the bookable walks were fully booked well ahead of the festival.  Sorry to those people who were disappointed.

The visits to local food producers were a hit.  Walkers enjoyed smoked trout pate, bullace gin, local wine, ice-cream made with local milk, local honey, cream teas and more.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2019 Walking Festival such an enjoyable week.

  • All the Walkers - for coming along and making groups happy and friendly
  • Walk Leaders - for planning interesting and scenic walks and taking care of their groups
  • Venues - for going out of their way to make us welcome, showing us what they do and providing lovely tastings
  • The Quiz Team and all the teams of quizzers - for enabling the festival to continue by raising £745
  • Peter Booton - for taking some wonderful photos
  • Sewards Furniture and Blinds - for storage
  • Community Cinema - for putting on a special Festival Film
  • and last but not least, The Festival Team for all the work behind the scenes to make the festival happen
